agressive mysteri

i have an aggressive mysteri wrasse. he is the oldest fish in the tank. any new additions his size or smaller gets killed by him. I just recently got some new additions and he started to attack him. So since i was tired of losing fish due to this guy, i removed him manually from my dispaly and put him in my sump/fuge area. Its approx 35 gals in there.
My question is how long can i keep him in there?

Is there a time limit to when his aggression will go away?

Any info or suggestions will greatly be appriciated.

What you see is what you get. They are aggressive and it will not go away.
