Ahhhhhhh! So that's how you get the suckers to attach. :p What about superglue gel?

;) Superglue sort of works, but the rics slime up and float away.

That weird color morph is really sweet....

Thanks. Bought it like that a few months back and it still looks the same.

Here is a macro pic of my Yuma I just got from palmettoreefs... I like it. The Xm bulbs have made the coral colors more intense :)

Will soon post other pics! (Still learning how to take macros)

Is that one of the Fire on purple ones??? I have a couple of them too. That pic is sweet!!! Thanks for sharing!!

Fire on purple ones.. you mean does it have a purple base.. Actually, I have not yet seen its base.. The color of the body is dark orange.. IT was light orange but after a few days under the XM 10000K light its color have become very deep without any actinics!

Thanks for the feedback!

Steve

Ah, must be a little different. The ones I am talking about they advertised as fire on purple. Nice find though, and great picture taking!!! I just love rics!!!

Sorry guys, complete noob here.

What are these things? I thought they were just weird coralline things until I saw your close-ups with all the polyps. Are these like bubble tipped colonizing anemones or what? How do you feed them, and do they interact well with other reef animals/corals?

Felt like taking more pictures tonight so I thought I would post a couple that came out okay.

Hope everyone likes them.
Mark

They are a form of mushroom, and are reef-safe.

Thanks Mark, but I am still confused. I am assuming you don't mean mushroom like I have in the lawn, I have never seen a mouth on them before... So I guess the question has to go further. I probably need to start a different thread to ask what a mushroom is, unless one of you wants to PM me with the basics.

I too am now hooked on ricordeas. The pics you guys have are amazing. I just wished some of the ppl did not adjust their digital images with photo shop or whatever apps they use to enhance the colors. For example, it's obvious a pic has been altered to enhance a red ricordea when the substrate background is all pink...hehehe. They have naturally amazing colors. No need to enhance...that's my $.02
