AI Hydra dilemma!

So I'm torn between placing 3- hydra 26 fixtures over a 75 or 2- hydra 52s. Both options will be supplemented with t5s. It'll be predominantly sps

i ran 4 26hds vs 2 of the 52s, i just felt you could get a nicer, more even, spread of the lights throughout. Where as the 52 has 4 pucks but all right next to one another. Where as 2 26's could give you the same 4 pucks but you can spread them out more.

I run two hydra 52s on my 120 (4x2x2) and thats plenty of light. Seems two hydra 52s on a 75 would be a lil too powerful.

I've got two 26 HDs on my 110 (Same as 75/90, just taller) and I get pretty good coverage. Mounting height/orientation and the layout of what's in your tank will be factors as well.

Think 3 will cut it?

Honestly I think 2 would be sufficient. I only went with 4 because I have that annoying cross brace in the middle so putting a third one in the middle would kind of be useless so I added 2 more to each side, also enabling me to turn them all down low for settings. Your 75 is basically same dimensions as my 90, and I had tiny areas in corners that weren't getting "alot" of light. But still adequate for a reef tank I feel. I would get 2 firs5 if it was me and see how you like it, maybe add 2 primes or a third hydra if you feel you need more. I was able to have 2 hydras and 2 primes on the same schedule which was nice.
