AI lighting and Thunderstorms

I just got my Profilux as well as my AI lighting and I have a question about thunderstorms. When I run a storm all the AI unit does is dim. Are the AI light suppose to handle the lightning flashes, or do I need to get a simu-stick?

Supposodely with the new software update you will be able to do the thunderstorms straight from the AI. I have been waiting for the new firmware to be released so that I could do this as well. FWIW it was supposed to be out 2-3 weeks ago. Check out the post at the top of the GHL forum.

New firmware release coming soon, but as we all know GHL launches nothing until every possible flaw "if any" has been worked through, we do not use our clients as beta testers. This can create delays, but only positive ones.

new firmware 4.02 (available since Sunday) is able to create flashes with the AI lamps!

I am not really sure what the benefits are about having the thunderstorm sim but it sure is cool looking.
