I didn't get the mounting arm, I bought the hanging kit but it doesn't have the original swivel function that it came with, honestly, the swivel function was absolutely terrible.

no clue no use for it yet but I want to play with it lol might put it over my 36/24/18 and get another down the road

I wouldnt just put one over a 36" tank, Id put one over a 24" tank with LPS and SPS. For 18" I think you could get away with SPS pretty much the whole tank.
