AI SOL and LPS

OK, I started a thread a while back asking about LPS under 250 watt halides. I'm still gathering information for my 125 gal tank and the lighting choice is proving to be by far my most difficult choice. I've read tons of threads and most seem to focus on SPS. I plan on keeping some SPS but I prefer LPS mostly and some soft corals. Will the AI SOL Blue be too much for LPS corals? I have a hood on my tank. I was thinking of going with 3 units mounted parallel with all 70* optics. I have around 12-14 inches between my hood and the water surface to work with. Thanks for all advice.

No, you can always dial it down for the lps and soft corals. Or if you wanted to do a mixture of lps and sps, then leave the AI's with the 40 optics in the middle and 70 optics on the outside and place your lps on the outer edge of the light and place the sps in the middle of the tank. HTH.

Well, if I remember correctly LPS require about 100 PAR so be sure you have dialed down your AI so that is what they are getting. (My source for the information is Cherry Coral by the way).
