AI Vega

I have a 29 gallon tank with one AI Vega Color over it. I have another AI Vega and was wondering if I am better to hang both of them over the tank or just one. I do not have a PAR meter but I do not think I am getting enough light to the bottom of the tank.

How high is the Vega above the water? I can't imagine that it would not be providing enough light. Unless you have stock in your electric company I would leave the second Vega in its box.

I have it hanging about 8 inches above the water.

A single Vega will provide more light than your tank will need.

so for a little perspective, i have 4 AI Vega colors hanging over my 72"x18"x29" tank and have plenty of light.

i also have an AI Hydra 26 over my 35 cube which is 18"x18".

one Vega color should be more than sufficient for a 29 gallon.
