aio chamber design help

Hi, I'm replacing the false wall in my AP24 so I can have 3 chambers. I'll be using 1/4 acrylic. The first chamber is for a skimmer, second is for a fuge, and third is the return pump. I want constant water lever in chamber 1 for the skimmer, and probably in chamber 2 as well. Please check out my ideas so far and let me know which one you think is best or any ways to improve it. design #1 given you place something over the return pump to reduce micro bubbles such as filter sponge attached is a photo of one I built. A 30G AIO

I agree with #1. I don't think you will have enough flow going thru to warrant the need for bubble traps. They will just take away from valuable space.
