Aiptasia after freshwater soak

Im trying a few things to remove aiptasia on some very coralline encrusted rock without having to completely kill the LR.

I soaked a piece of the rock in treated FW for 10 hours then placed back into SW. One of the bigger aiptasia I was watching shriveled up into a small ball during the soak and after being placed back into SW. It remained for 2 days and this morning, it was gone.

Do you think it is likely it could have survived the FW soak and has just detached to find a more suitable spot in the SW tank?

Soak in FW for 10 hrs pretty much kill most if not all live on the LR including the coralline.

What I do if the rock only with a few aptasia is take it out and take a blow torch to it. This is really is not as radical as it sound. The blow torch only apply heat to a very local area and kill everything there but leave the rest of the rock intact. This is the best and quickest way to kill a small number of aptasia on a LR while preserving most of the live in/on the rock

The LR is infested with tiny aiptasia so I have given up on target killing with kalk or other means.

After 10 hours do you think any aiptasia "spores" would survive inside the retracted aiptasia?

Some of the coralline looks to be intact, which is good news, and I did dip the LR into a weak Revive solution and was able to save a few pods and brittle star hiding in the rock before the FW soak.

Sorry I didn't read your second post... Kalk is my "go-to" solution for pest anemones. However sounds like your situation is more extreme.

I did use kalk in the beginning but tiny ones have started popping up everywhere! It's definitely more extreme but I think I've separated my corals from the infected LR. Just watching the corals to see if any aiptasia appear on them.
