Aiptasia and peppermints

So I have 3 peppermint shrimp doing a great job keeping my aiptasia under control but have a huge aiptasia on a rock at the top of my scape where I don't think the shrimp want to go. Should I blast it with aiptasia x? My tank is relatively new having transferred everything over the past few weeks so don't want my shrimp to starve. What's your opinion folks?

I would.
Kill 'em all!

Shrimp are tasty with Garlic and butter....

yes kill them all Save the aiptasia .. ohh wait no i get that backwords ..

The shrimp in our tank will not get big ones. that creep in from time to time .We have peppermint shrimp , File Fish and Cbb....

Depending on where the Aiptasia is in your tank you could just cut the Aiptasia as close to the base as you can with some scissors and then let the shrimp finish off the remains. Make sure you remove the crown once it's cut though. You might have to turn off all the pumps to do so.

This is not relevant, but I've never seen aptasia in person and I was at the fish store and thought this "stuff on a rock" was pretty so I asked what it was. lol!! I guess I didn't want to buy that. I didn't realize how big it can be.

Of all remediations I've had best luck with peps. OTOH, they always seem to leave ONE or two to produce the delectable rice-sized babies.

I would blast any larger ones with aiptasia x. If your peppermints are eating them, they're likely on consuming the smaller, leaving you to manually remove the larger.

I'm currently going through an aiptasia infestation myself. I've caught it before it got too out of control for now, peppermints are making their dents and I'm using Joes juice on the larger ones. Hopefully soon I'll be aiptasia free, yourself as well!
