Aiptasia outbreak!

Boiling water injection. Then there are commercial ones like aiptasia-x but it is up to you if you want to put that in your tank.

If they're off on there own I recomend the boiling water. It may take a few times if its deep in the rock. I use one of those baby medicine eye droppers to shoot it directly at them.

How long is the water still effective before you need to reheat it again? I'm picturing running with a put of boiling water to the tank & working as quickly as I can. I suppose if one were to boil a HUGE pot, it would last awhile?

Same here with aiptasia-x i just make sure i follow the directions and stop all flow in my tank for about 10 minutes after i administer it.

I found one on my coral purchase attached to a live rock. If rinsed it out of the live rock haven't seen another one grow. It's been one month.

Several years ago I had a horrible aptasia problem! I tried Joe's Juice, Lemon Juice, etc. Guess what rid them from my tank? Peppermint shrimp! And the good thing about them is they will continue to eat the aptasia as they grow, keeping the problem to a minimum :) Hope this helps!

Simple vinegar in a syringe is the fastest way I've found. Stick it in em and watch them melt and disappear.
Also will help bacteria population to help water clarity.

Whether you choose to use lemon juice, kalk paste, aiptasia x, or whatever chemical, make sure you don't do hog wild and shoot them all up. Some products will mess with your paramters (like pH).

Same here. Used Aptasia X, and the aiptasia population exploded each time. Started with 1, and after two different times using AiptasiaX, I had hundreds of babies infesting the tank. Bought 6 peppermint shrimp and they decimated the aiptasia with two weeks. I've had them in my tank for about a year and they haven't caused me any problems. Definitely the way to go.

I miss my peppermint shrimp. He passed last month after having him for 3 years. He had a great personality and eat the hell out of aptasia. :(

I am by no means an "Expert Reefkeeper" but... i know by experience that peppermint shrimp eat the heck out of them. After a few days of letting them establish they will search and destroy. Again... this is only my experience under my reef tank conditions.

I have used boiling water with good success. I bought a syringe that you use to inject flavoring into meat and cut the end off so it shoots straight out the end. Fill a quart container with hot water and put it in the microwave to bring it to a boil. you will have plenty of time to use it before it cools off.

Besides the peppermint shrimp, you could try bergia? nudibranch. Not sure of the exact spelling but I am told those work too.
