Air Bubbles stuck in BTA :(

Hello Guys,

My BTA is sick :( I was doing a water change in the tank and the BTA got exposed air. Now it has air stuck in some of the tentacles and the mouth is gapping a little :( I'm pretty sure that it doesn't have air stuck on the disk as i moved him around and made sure he didn;t have anything in there... it's just the little bubbles in the tentacles that bother me ... has anyone had this happen to them ?

I hope it pulls through ...

it should be fine. especially if you think about how people are taking them out of water and cutting them in half to propogate them. probably not anything to worry about.

How many tentacles have trapped air? Can I see a picture? You could probably just cutt off the tips of the tentacle with the trapped air and should recover fine. Nothing to worry about unless it leads to an aerobic infection.

it has about 6 with air stuck in them/ It had more but i squeezed out the bubbles. It's funny caused the tentacle tips have little holes at the tip where air comes right out.

I'll try to get some pics of it tonight... thanks guys for the comforting words ;)

How do you tell when there's air trapped in a nem? I've heard people talk about it, but still can't picture it.

You see the little bubbles through the tentacles.

I had a flower anemone with a lot of bubbles trapped in it. The anemone was freaking out and schrunching up for a few hours, but they all got out. I wouldnt worry about it.

yea it's still doing good... it's attached to a rock and the it's mouth is nice and closed now .... :)

I still see a couple of bubbles here and there but it seems to look healthy besides that..... These things are pretty tough. lol
