Alarm on CLEANED 6000

Hi Roger,

I hope you can help me. Today my Stream 6000 suddenly stopped. When I tried to restart it the alarm went off. I've cleaned it really well and followed you excellent instructions. I've never been able to take it all apart and then get it together again earlier. So now it almost as clean as when I first got it. I even had everything in vinegear for a while to get it perfect...

But it still doesn't start. I even tried with a new rotor I had just in case but that didn't help either. So what to do now? The propeller moves a little bit when I first start it but then it seems to be stuck. Is there anything else I might try?

Thanks for your help!

Hans

I got it to spinn around about 10 times... then it stopped and the alarm went off again. I tried replacing the O-ring but then it didn't move a thing. :(

Hi Hans,

I think it probably has an electronic problem. It would be best to send it in for repair to Tunze in Germany. I would recommend if possible to call the factory first so they know to expect it. 49-8856-2022

Hi Roger,

Thanks alot for the answer! I've tried to get contact with Tunze but they don't seem to answer e-mails or questions sent in via their homepage.

Their customer service here in Europe is a disaster. I'm afraid they are quickly loosing their good reputation. They should be embarresed when people in Europe turn to this forum to get help. But you should be proud, you seem to offer excellent service all the time!!

The problem for the main office is that they are a bit overwhelmed, especially with all the orders and emails they get over Christmas, they will answer but not as fast. Any email sent to the info.english@tunze.com email on the home page comes to me. I answer the English as well as some Spanish and rarely German emails when I can to try to help lighten the load. Sometimes it pertains to an order or repair from another country and I don't know about the details so I forward it back.
