I followed the directions and plug in the driver to the box and the transformer in the outlet and all I get is a continuos beeping on my brand new 6000. Is it something I did wrong? I am not happy at all about this...

I actually bought two, did the same thing I did on the first one on the second and bam no problems runnng fine. Why is the first one beeping straight out of the box from the manufacturer? I guess these streams arent tested individually?

Take out the propeller/magnet assy and run your finger round inside the hole. If you feel a lump then this is most likely the cause and is also a known manufacturing defect, caused by failed quality control in the plastics manufacturing process.

It will be replaced - as one of mine is being.

Yes, we switched plastic last winter to comply with some new regs in Europe on recycling and electronics. The new plastic has presented some difficulties for us. It cools differently and can laminate and the layers seperate and blister. It took us a while to figure out exactly what was happening. We do test every pump individually but the test lasts less than a minute, the wattage is verified and that the pump runs. This problem takes a while to occur and may not show in a pump that was just made. The problem is not visible on parts inspection so that is how this happens.

I will replace the motor if you PM me an address to ship to.

I was running two 6100s with 7095 multicontroller. I added another two new 6100s two days ago. They are all brand new out of box. The first new 6100 stopped running with alarm beeping 2 hrs after I plug in, the second new 6100 stopped running one day after plug in with alarm beeping. I don't have any problem with my two old 6100s. I took apart the units and check, no obstruction at all. Do they also have the same new plastic problem?

The problem shows as a bubble in the plastic inside the pump, that sleeve is a seperate part but in from behind before the coil is added and the resin poured in to seal it. It has to be made of a special reinforced plastic to really give a long life so it is a seperate casting. Check for this but I would bet that is the cause.
