Alarm won't turn off

I had a power outage that wiped out my tank a week ago. The power was out for 15 hours, and the tank's temp was a cool 57 degrees. As a result, one of my tunze 6100's alarm won't turn off. I have unplugged it, and whenever I try to plug it back in, the alarm continues. How can I fix this so I can have my tunze pump back to normal?

Have you tried cleaning it? That is where I would start.

I did clean it as that is what I thought could be the problem. It is now spotless, but now the alarm only sounds when it is not at 100%. Thus, I had to pull it from the multicontroller to make the pump work without the alarm.

That sounds like the drive unit is dragging or the hole in the magnet is clogged. Please check the thread on alarms at the top of this forum. I suspect the upper bearing is stuck to the magnet or the hole in the magnet is clogged with debris. This would increase the watt draw so it cannot run at lower speeds- it doesn't have enough power to overcome the resistance.
