The shipping to get the tank here was about $150 on the barge, not to bad I guess. I made the sump my self but that is the old one I just upgraded to a larger tank for the sump and will post a bunch of pics in a day or two. Yes there are two bulkheads in each overflow box one is for the drain and one is for the return that I have piped through the side of the OF box on each side.
then there are also the two loc line pairs on the bottom of the tank and those are fed with one stand pipe in the back of the tank for the closed loop system. Both the CL and the return are powered with the Eheim 1262's.
OK here are my new changes that I have been working on for a few weeks. I removed the 30 gal sump that was running OK but not enough room and replaced it with a 40 gal breeder 12in longer. and got all my plumbing done into the stand.
Here I plumbed in two drains into the bottom of the stand one to help in the event of a sump overflow or some other unspeakable event, and the other has the drain from the RODI and a cap for hooking up the tank drain.
My lower power bar to feed everything under the tank stand, already full though:sad2:
The new empty sump in place I angled the last baffle before the skimmer and return to create a chamber for macro that will have a swirling water effect through it and this helped allot the water flows nicely through it and it don't create any bubbles in the skimmer chamber as the water flows over the glass.
Wiring, You never thought one needed so much wiring for a fish tank
My top off container cheep but it works it has a float switch inside off the filter to fill it and a float switch for the apex to kill the pump if the water gets to low.
