SALTWATER since '73

well I think I finally figured out how to post pics, so I might as well begin my upgrade thread. My present system, will be 5 yrs' old this thanksgiving, but I've been doing saltwater since 1973 (got hooked while in college in Atlanta). The current system is two DTs in my living room (a 4' 130g & a 5' 170g), connected to a common basement 8' 150g sump. The new tank is a custom built glass cages 450g acrylic tank (96"X40"X27"h). Originally I designed this tank to also go in my living room, and replace the other 2 tanks. I had an engineer over to design a 'support' system for the floor, so that the tank would STAY upstairs. But as we were about to begin construction, plans changed, and the new 'plan' (which is constantly changing and evolving) is to set up the new tank in the basement, in the playroom next to the sump room. Once up and running the other 2 tanks will come down.

UPDATE: some progress...part of rear wall was removed (rest of sheetrock will be removed later) for easy access to back of tank...when ready, tank will be moved back within a few inches of wall...drilled the tank, for bulkheads, did 6 for 'failsafe' overflows (3 on each side), 2 surge/ 4CL returns (pic shows returns are adjustable 'aim' 45* clear PVC, may use eductors on returns) and 1 CL drain...this tank WILL have water in it, before the END OF MAY!..... I hope!
