Albuquerque Trip ***********

I'm going up there this weekend, curious if anyone had noticed prices since the last person asked. I'll be looking at livestock and corals this weekend if no one managed to see them. Will report back!
 
I think you'll find the prices of livestock slightly higher than here in El Paso from what I saw. Nice store though. Lot's of dry goods and Aquarium supplies on hand. Unlike El Paso Stores. they did have fish and other livestock on hand for the weekend.
 
That's good. We had 2 LFS' in alamo, one of them closed and the other got sold off to someone im not sure has owned a saltwater tank before, so now theres nowhere here to get fish.

Glad you enjoyed tim, yeah its a pretty bada$$ store.
 
Ok! Went to both stores, Southwest Reef co, and Vivid Reef. Southwest had a ton of stuff, lots of really big corals, and the pricing was not bad at all considering how large the frags were. Most stuff from 40$-130$. Didn't see any sps, might have missed it.

Vivid was smaller, but really nice guys there. They packed me up a Styrofoam box with a heating pack to get my stuff home alive. Very very nice frags though, everything looked super nice over there, but smaller selection. Prices were about the same.
 
I was up there this weekend. Just wanted to post a few pics, I was pretty impressed. Just FYI, they are both located pretty close to each other.

Were they open during the hours posted on the door? What a concept huh? LOL. We need a store like that here in El Paso.
 
I have never had any issues with Noah's ark vein closed during posted hours. And they are open 7 days a week
 
We'll the weather is changing and I'm feeling like a trip to Albuquerque again. Going up the 15th of March to see the Aquarium again and stop by a real Saltwater Shop.
