Since I'm not sure which category a sponge falls under, I'm taking a guess and placing this thread here.
I have a small yellow ball sponge which has become covered with algae. I tried using a squirt feeder to try and blow it clear and tried lightly brushing it with my finger with minimal success. Meanwhile, my snails and blue leg crabs have been ignoring him.
Is there another type of crab which is reef safe and will not go to war with my blue leg crabs which might help my poor little sponge? Or it there some other way I can help to clean him up? I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.
