algae growing on tips of frag

My ORA borealis has algae growing on the tips, looks like thin brown algae. It's the only frag that is doing this and I'm not sure what's causing it. I have plenty of flow and PO4 is in check so I'm looking for answers to why this is happening. The frag itself it colored up well and has been encrusting well so let me know why this happens so I can correct it.

No the tips are not dead, the frag itself looks very healthy. I'm confused why algae is growing on it. The tips are a nice light blue and the rest of the frag is green. I held the frag in front of my powerheads which blew the algae off but it left behind some brown algae streaks of where it grew. It's never happened in my tank before so I'm a little confused.

I had that with my dino outbreak. Went away when the dinos did. When I say "went away" I mean my war with them.

If your pumps are blowing directly on your coral and they have lots of algae on them it will do that to your coral, if you move pump or you can blow tips off with turkey baster but that will get old. You can also clean pump but that will be a tedious process, if pumps are causing this I would move pump slightly so coral is out of direct flow.
