It never ceases to amaze me how so many algaes lay dormant for so long and then decide to make an appearance.
Any idea what this is? Popped up a couple of weeks ago on a piece of rock that's been in the tank since the beginning (15+ years).Never seen anything like it anywhere in the system. Nothing new added to the tank in a long long time. Looks to be very pliable, leaves wave in the (very strong random) current. No pieces have broken off. There's a medium sized hermit crab in the pic to the right of the algae. Clump is probably a little over an inch in size. Looks to be maybe four to six leaves as of now.
Tangs (Vlamingi, Purple, Yellow Bellied Hippo) have nothing to do with it.
Growing near the top of the tank.
Leave it or pull it?
Thanks in advance.
