Do any of you have an idea on what type this is? It's growing out of some deep water vava'u. It appears to plate, almost like a cap.

Definately looks like it casey. What type of rock is yours on Gary? How large have they gotten?

Mine haven't really grown out, but have encrusted the rock. It is on some Tonga branch, which is odd since it looks more like the Caribbean variety of algae...
