I look over to my tank and some algae that i have is leaking green fluid like its reproducting or something. its done now and the algae is white in color. it now seems like it expelled all its chlorophyll or something. is it bad that my algae looks like it was bleeding?
i think it is calerupa because i cant seee any other reason for the plant to loose all its insides. i have a 20g sump and it clouded the water a little bit. does that mean there was a dumpage of nutrients?
Yes, it sounds like it went sexual which means it released all of those nutrients it absorbed back out. If you see it turning white next time you should pull it out.
