Algae on back glass

Hi everyone,

My tank has been running for 5-6 months now and I just started to see algae growing on the back glass. The rest of the tank is spotless, it's just on the glass and a couple snail shells. Should I just scrape it off or will it spread that way?

Parameters are all in line.

Thanks!

my back glass is not a viewable panel, it was painted black on the outside and I have let it incrust with coralline algae. You cant see much black anymore.

Depend how can you tolerate. I just leave it and in few months, mine is covered with coralline algae

I've always left my back glass as a free grazing area for snails, crabs, tangs, etc. You can always scrape it if it gets out of hand.

All of us have to clean our glass. Your back glass is algae-covered because you don't clean it, and the rest of your glass is spotless because you clean it.

It's up to you what look you want.
