I am sure if I loo hard enough someone else would have posted this problem before but I could not find anything. I have having an issue with Clumps of black algae accumulating on the gravel. Every week when I do my water change I have to siphon out clumps of algae from the gravel. It not out of control mainly because I am able to keep up with it. It not growing on the gravel. Anyone see this before and how do I get rid of it.

Coarse gravel can accumulate organic debris and become a maintenance problem. If that's what's happening, you might need to replace the substrate. That's what I had to do with my crushed coral. Otherwise, nutrient control might help. Running GFO, better skimming, and carbon dosing seem to be the more common options.
