Algae on SPS

I had a coral fall over for a few days and now it has started to grow algae on the end that isn't healthy. Is there a way I can get this off or should I write this coral off?

that part is most likely dead but what is remaining can survive and recover i would remount the coral with the dead side down so it can encrust on a disk or a piece of rock

The corals is definitely branching now. there is a little algae at one of the tips, too. I assume I should snap that off?

Yes snap or cut the dead or dying part off.

Trim the bad and save the good and blow off any nasties with a powerhead.
