Guys,

My friend want to sell all his corals, because he fed up with marine because he had always algae blooms like hair algae, cotton red algae etc.

I want to buy them because he have some nice pieces but I am sure not going to introduce them in my tank because the rocks they are attached on are covered with these bad algae.

What should I do? I was going to quarantine them and run some PO4 remover, carbon and do frequently water changes until I hope that there is no sign of bad algae.

Any help is much appreciated please.

The rocks most likely have a lot of nutrients in them that are fueling the algaes growth. If it were me, I would chisel away as much of the rock as you can. Try to just leave the corals in one piece. The less of that nasty rock that you add to your tank the better.
