You could also try coral rx, I dip my zoos in that and it works great for algae

Huge fan of coral RX, but I find it not as effective as peroxide specifically for algae

I agree, while CoralRx has some good stuff in it for some, actual HygrogenPeroxide mix does a quicker job.

hydrogen peroxide works great. I tried it a few weeks back and took care of the problem. the zoas did stay closed for about a day after wards. i did a 1:3 mixture and soaked em for 3 minutes then cleaned em in a cup of tank water. the crap that came off them was crazy. not all of it came off immediately but its like the hp breaks down the algae at a cellular level
any that was left turned brown then clear in about 2 days. zoas growing strong and fast now.

1:10 seems a little weak and 1:1 seems strong. I've used 1:3 for 5 minutes many times with no ill effects. Always with tank water and always rinse with tank water afterwards. I'm also curious about doing it with SPS frags.
