algae problem

Any good suggestions to help control hair algae? My 55g does not have a sump or refugium (just got an Aquafuge, not installed yet), and over the last 3-4 months has developed a "healthy crop" of algae. My lawnmower blenny does not seem to ever graze on it, but certainly likes the mysis shrimp and nori. Anyone have much luck or experience with lettuce nudibranchs or have other suggestions (short of adding a sump/refugium - not an option due to space). Thanks for any ideas!

I use RODI (last tds was 2 about 3 weeks ago), and my PO4 is undetectable with my kit ((Nutrafin). Also my nitrates are 0 on testing, but with the algae growth I suspect both nitrates and phos are there, just being sucked up by the algae. I have been changing 5 gal weekly. I also have been running Kent Phosphate sponge in my canister filter without any noticeable change. I have been considering trying a phosban reactor. I wish I could find an animal that really loves to graze!
