Algae Question

Anyone know what kind of algae this is? It's white and it covers the rock in some parts and other parts it swings. It's weird. Might be some kind of sponge actually.

Also, what eats this? My emerald crab and nerite snails seem to eat everything else in the tank but this.

It's clear ish and white ish. You can sort of see through it but not entirely.

Well I see you put white but is it like a white and clear almost like mucus?
I had something similar I did not ever find out what it was.. I got rid of it by pulling the rock it was on and rinsing it with tap water. It took a couple times to get rid of most of it and I think I still have some of it there...

I would like to know what it is also.. It grew pretty fast is yours the same?

It's a new tank. Grew over the course of a few weeks. I clean the tank weekly so it's not taking over but would like to know how to control it before it does
