Algae scrubber experiment

I (sort of) plan to add some mangroves to my fuge for my system down here in Dallas, but mostly simple for the fun and aesthetics of it...

Pwhitby, have you ever heard of any studies of export on "codium"? I usually collect it to put in my reef and it lives fairly well. I can collect it by the barrel full and it always comes with a holdfast. I use it in my reef because I like the way it looks and I don't have a refugium but if I did I would fill it with the stuff. Since it comes from New York in murky water it doesen't need as much light as some tropical algaes.
There are a few pieces of it here in last year's picture. I have a lot more now.
