I have this "algae" growing in my tank, Iwould like to know what it is, good, bad, indifferent. Will a yellow tang eat it?

Thanks Ed
Try looking up Dictyota. I don't think any tangs of the genus Zebrasoma would eat it. Other tang genera may like it (like Naso) but they get so big. Diadema urchins will eat it for sure. I had this stuff take over my 45g reef at one point but it just kind of fizzled out on its own. Do you test your nitrates and phosphates? What are they?
Dolabella sea hares will most defintely eat it, but they themselves won't live long if you do not have alot of algae. I like to "borrow" sea hares from local reefers time to time.

Thanks for the link, I hope the Bali Sea Monster, Dolabella Sea Hare is what you are talking about, I'm going to get 1 of them and some hermits & snails. Thanks to kmk2307 also, I would have never figured out what that stuff is or how to get rid of it without all your help. This is an excellent source of imfo. Again thanks to both of you!!!!
