Algea on toadstool

Red algea growing on rim, tried brushing it off not cyano and top is dirty looking, how do you treat? Thought is would shed or mucus it so nothing will grow on it, has not been open for a few days

What are your parameters? How long has the tank been set up for?

Increasing the amount of flow the coral is receiving might help. These corals like it real chaotic IME.

Tank is 10 yrs old with uln not sure if nearby anemone could cause it to retract polyps Lewis by enough got algae to grow also thought skin would slouff off

Mine had retracted for close to a month and was covered in a reddish brown algae as well. Once I relocated my ph and it started receiving more flow the algae went away and the polyps are now back out.
