Alien Eye Chalice losing color

I have an alien eye chalice that lost color, I think because I had a t50 ho too low on the tank. I've since moved it to a halide tank and it's deeper in the water. Any suggestions to get it to color up again?

Chalices are so bipolar in the way the like light, i just don't know. My red chalice is so bright high up. but my orange chalice is brighter towards the bottom. just try to put it deeper and see if that works, or you could try putting it higher.

Yeah. I've had some luck with this one. It grew wicked fast under the t5ho but lost color. I have it now in the corner on a MH tank and it seems to be gaining it's color back. I'm dosing with fiji gold right now and that's it.

Alkalinity can make a huge difference with chalices too, have you checked yours?

I just checked. The main tank is at 10.

did you light acclimate it? I always put any of my corals in the shade for a couple of days and slowly move it out and where I want it. I just got one of these too!

I should probably light acclimate stuff more but did not with this chalice

Put it in some shade for a week or two and then move out to a brighter area.

agreed with above.... some love the light, others hate it... some like higher alk (9-10) others hate it and want 7 ish alk... that's been my observations...
