Alien-like invert ID please

I've seen the "legs" of this species sticking out of snail shells and such in the past, but this is the first time I've seen this out on the glass. It was gone again in minutes- never again to be seen.

Anyone know what it is?

I see them from time to time in my tank, too. I'm guessing either a Terebellidae (spaghetti worm) or a Syllidae?

Yup had a couple of all shapes and sizes... It didn't harm anything in my aquarium, just hung around in the sand bed.

They help keep the sandbed clean. Let them be.

i had a couple i saw come out at night didnt do any damage so i left it alone

Not worried about them at all... I love miscellaneous fauna in the tank.

Just curious on what they are. Thanks @Foody for the links. Looks like a spaghetti worm for sure (Terebellid).

They're really cirratulids or hair worms. Not much difference. I paid for mine and most of them are in my rocks. I see them them all the time.
