Alien mze brain coral question

I guys, i just bought an alien maze brain coral and it arrive 2 days ago. Now the corals sweeper is sticking out. Is this normal? Also how can I know if a coral is dying cause my zoa got trapped by the rock that fell down.

Sweepers are a normal part of any brain coral. You should allow at least several inches (4-6) between it and other corals.

As for your zoanthids - they are pretty much impossible to kill. You may have p.o.'d some of them but they will probably be just fine.

For further help if you could include details about your setup it will help determine the problems and their fixes.

I have the exact opposite problem. I picked up a maze brain frag shortly after Thanksgiving and I've only gotten a feeding response out of it once.
