You know I don't know what ratio would make it right at 8.3. I would try a 50/50 first. They will all balance out given time anyway as they all become the same chemical. The baked baking soda(washing soda) has a temporary pH increase. If you need a pH increase I would suggest limewater. What does your pH normally run? I won't answer back to your answer though until after I get back from a Missouri State Chiro Assoc. meeting this eve.
normally around 8.0 to 8.3 during the day, dripping about 5 gal. of kalk every 2 days calc. stays good around 450 but alk. I can't keep up mag. is about 1250 alk runs around 7.7dkh normally
I'd try a 50/50 mix to start and see where that takes you. Do it slow at first and make sure you don't top 8.5. If you find it's too hard to add slow enough then decrease the baked part a little. Anywhere in the system like the sump you could get a little more surface agitation? Also another idea is to run the air intake line(if you have one) of the skimmer to the outside and see if that helps. That's really ok though for the day. Is the night pH good too?
