Alkalinity swing question

I've been trying to keep track on my Alkalinity. I've been reading and researching on how Alkalinity swing will actually kill SPS.

So what's considered to be an Alkalinity swing? 9 to 8? 9 to 6? 8 to 6?

+1 depending on the specific sps, some are more sensitive than other. You will see some receding first....If it continues, you will RTN.

Even though you will see/hear that 1 is OK, you will see better results if you don't let it swing at all. .1 would freak me out. Most of the best tanks that you will see don't let it swing.
