hey guys , i have a 30 gallon tank , all my water parameters are good nitrates a little high though (30 ppm) but i havent worried about it much my tank has been set up from three months now , i bought two clown fish they had fin rot after a few days of addition then they died after that a couple of days past and i bought another clown fish its been doing good since then i bought a butterfly fish it had ICH three days after it was added to the tank then died one day after that i went head and bought two three striped damsels i just found out they have a very bad case of ICH and they're probably not gonna make it through the night i dot know what im doing wrong i do frequent 25% water changes and feed my fish frequently and keep the water parameters ideal however i dont quarantine my fish before adding them as i dont have a quarantine tank yet , any ideas ? im actually a little depressed because of all that i love that hobby and have spent nearly all my savings in it but it doesnt seem to be working out i would appreciate any help

Once ich is introduced into a system it will be there until all the fish are gone.
You need to get a QT tank and treat the fish and leave the DT fishless for at least 10 weeks.
IMO a Qt is a necessity not an option for long term success.
There are numerous stickies on ich and the treatments.

10 weeks is way too much time i mean u know how exciting it is to put fish in their , for the first 45 days of the tank ive been counting the days tiil the cycle is over and on the 45th i ran to the pet store to pick out the fish i wanted then you are telling me to leave it fish less for another 70 days , its better just to start the whole tank from scratch , im sorry im very frustrated and considering my options , such devastation im in right now

With all due respect if you do not have the patience for this then maybe this hobby is not for you.
If you continue to not QT purchases then you will back in this situation again.

This is why a QT is so important. You could have set up the same time you set up the display, got fish int he QT right away and now they'd be disease free and ready for the display.

Yes you can gut your tank dry all the rock/equipment out in the sun and start the cycle over. In the mean time get a qt and start the cycle on that to. Lots of people dont cycle qt but in your case I would. Your 30g will be easy to clean out and start over. At least with the new start you can try not to make the same mistakes.
Where are you getting your fish from? I would try some place else if possible.

You are going to continue to have frustrating issues if your practice does not involve QT. Also, I would find a new source for your livestock. The stuff you are getting is unhealty. Also a very reputable LFS would not sell someone a butterfly fish for a 30 gallon tank.
