All fish died- but one

I’m not sure if I’m posting expecting knowledge or just feeling extremely sad and stupid. I’ve been Keep a reef for over 20 years and have made my mistakes, and learned to avoid many from others.

My fish have been in my tanks for many years and we all extremely healthy - mated clowns even laid eggs that just before tragedy. I haven’t added anything in over two years - nothing.

Been feeding nori and reef frenzy mostly, but I decided that night to thaw PE mysis. I have done this many times in the past, but I am wondering if I left the food out to thaw tool long. I always thaw in water and rinse before feeding. I put in the refrigerator to feed over several days.

I feed the tank the mysis and watch the feeding frenzy... all seemed good until the next morning - all dead except for the only fish - a sand Sifting hectors goby. Bad food? Sat out too long? Stumped.

So after 20 years....a new one for me. Feel free to chime in with any expertise that I clearly lack..... :headwally:
