So about 4 months ago I received this acropa that was completely browned out. Thought for sure it would never live, but it did. Now everything in my 20 long shows amazing growth and color. I put something in my tank and it grows and colors up for me right away including the other 2 acropas I have 1 green and the other yellow w/ blue tips. I've even thrown a couple of corals in there that were damn near dead only to have them recover and start to grow with in a week.

This particular acro just stays brown. Polyps which were no existent when I got it are now long lush and everywhere. I've tried moving it up towards the light and away. Please don't think that I didn't give it some time I gave it over a month any time I moved it. Still no luck.

Dose anyone know why it may be refusing to show any color, or could some one share their tips about acros with me.

Also on a side note does any one think 80x water flow in a 20long is too much.

Leave it up high for longer. A month is not very long. Also, as stated before, it could be a brown acro. Got a pic?

yes, its an older pic, and I'll get an updated 1 on tomorrow

I'm sure it's not superpose to be brown. It came from a brown out sale.

Some 1 local to my area has 1 from the same sale, and says they are having the same issue. A little color mostly brown though. I have also discovered that it's a wild coral, most the stock from the store it came from is.

Hope the added info will help, let me know if any 1 would like any other info please. Happy to give it.

Looks like it has great potential. Place it high up. It may be lighting spectrum. I didn't like my T5 set up, I went back to MH because I like the color of m corals better under MH (not trying to start debate, its just me).

It kinda looks bleached out to me. Its quite pale, even though it does have brown to it i dont know if i would raise it up.

That is an older picture it is kind of a pink brown at the moment. I love my T-5s all my corals except this 1 produce great color under this lighting and the bulbs are only a few month old. I've moved it up already (last week) I've also started feeding the corals rofliters hoping that might help

I would frag the coral, and keep two of the larger branches and give away the rest. Remount them on a new disk or chunk of rock. At the same time clip all the ends. All this cutting and movement will help new growth in the coral and will hopefully produce that color your looking for.

Thx thats a great tip. I'll try it for sure.

Thx every 1, I'm hoping for the best too. I'm really stubborn so I'm not about to give up. I'll keep every one posted on what I do, so every one can get something out of the future success or failure of this acro
