From your experience, how often do you clean the main pump?
Is it a big hassle? Hard to reach?

Do you ever vacuum the bottom, in the sump area?

I vacuum the back chambers weekly, and monthly I take out the pump, heater, wave makers, etc and clean them in a vinegar bath.

I vacuum the back chamber, i dont Bother cleaning the pump or powerhead.

I don't do either...

If the pump failed for some reason, I would take it out to clean it.
But I don't clean the back (sump) at all..no need IMO

I don't clean the main pump either. I will visually check the back chambers for junk and if I see stuff ill siphon it out but rarely there is anything due to the continuous flow of water through the chambers.
