The day after I stopped feeding the NLS HEX Shield pellets I noticed that all the mini Mysis I had before in my tank were gone. I can't find a single one anymore. Before and even on the day I started feeding the pellets the gravel, the rocks and the refugium box were crawling with these little Mysis shrimp.
The amphipods (tiny ones and C-shaped) are still there and doing fine.
Also none of my shrimp did show any signs of distress.
I don't think that my mandarins and the fridmani were able to hunt them to extinction within 3 days - not only would it be impossible for them to get them all but they didn't look fat enough for that during those 3 days.
Is it possible that the active ingredients are toxic to Mysis?
