All my brittlestars are dead but everything else fine?

HI All,

I just noticed today and theres hundreds of dead brittle stars on my rock and sand bed and im wondering if anyone can help me figure out the cause. Everything else seems fine Fish, Corals, Shrimps, Anemones etc.

The only thing I can think of possibly is the redox running highish 390 or the fact that ive started dosing Lanthanum Chloride to deal with high phosphates being either the chemical itself or perhaps the low phosphate is an issue?

Any early thoughts at the moment?

Actually upon further inspection it appears ive lost 4 small orchid dottybacks, an elibi dwarf angel and a small watchman goby. Im wondering if it is due to the Lanthanum Chloride?

Have you checked your parameters since you started dosing? Did your phosphate take a rapid drop?

It dropped from 0.30 to 0.10 in a week. Is that too fast?

check your tank for an elictrical current it could be a bad power head
electricity can kill all sorts of thangs in your tank
