All Ohio Swap

Can someone explain fragswapper? Is it just local? National? I did not bother to sign up (yes I know it's free) until I figure out what it is used for.

Willie,

it is an internet site that allows "swappers" to manage and display their corals for sale or trade at the actual fragswap in cleveland.

You sign up and then can request frags before the swap happens, so you dont miss out.

I bought the tripod.. now I must will myself to get the good pictures posted.

Do it self! Do it now!

muuhahahahaha

I'll have some pics posted this weekend of what I have available.

I need to run to the saltyscritter to get mounting rock to see how many I have of each. Is xenia a big seller? Like $5 mounted? Got tons and hate to waste it.

From what I have seen Xenia, Anthelia and Kenya tree are almost hard to give away. There always seem to be people who would like it for free to get them started (like me) and then it grows nicely until you are ready to trim it and give it to another newbie that needs a start.

You might be able to sell some of it but it seems like a waste of money to go pay for rock to mount it on when you might not even make the money back. You might be better off trimming it and putting it in a very low flow area on the substrate and see if your frags will attach to the sand so you can just pick them up when you are ready to go.

Of course I have seen small Xenia colonies for $25 in stores. Do they ever sell? That I don't know.

Just my suggestions... hope it helps.

theres lots of new people at the swaps, you'd get 5 bucks a piece forsure. Xenia doesn't ship well so getting it homegrown and locally is the best bet.

I am one that would want Xenia! I am really looking forward to this swap... my tank will just be ready for its first corals!

Last year, when it was in Vermillion, I got a Fungia from someone. If anyone has another, I would love another one.

I have posted a lot of goodies on fragswapper.com. Take a peek and get an early reservation. My frags are being reserved quicker than I expected.

Don't miss out on these great prices :)

I mistakenly posted a listing for green stool. I was trying to sign up for Eriks frag. I still want Eriks frag, but how do I get rid of the listing? I just don't want to confuse anyone with them thinking I have some to share

Thanks

Hey question about all of this. Do i have to be a member of C-SEA to go to this swap. Im pretty new up in the akron/cleveland area and just found out about this. I have a 10g reef tank that I just started up about 3 months ago. Any information would be greatly appricated.

Alright heres a question, this will be the first frag swap I have attended, I have alot of frags already reserved on fragswapper. What is the usual routine? Will the traders be bringing things bagged? Should I bring a spare 10gal with some water in it? Or should I just bring a styrofoam shipping container? The meeting in Feb will be the first I will attend so Ill hopefully get the chance to meet alot of the people whom I have reserved frags and get a better idea of how this thing works, Im just looking for a general idea. I just recently liberated my friend from the tyrany of Aquarium Adventure, and hes the only other person that I am friends with who has a salt tank, so I believe he will be attending with me.

Alright heres a question

You'll find those selling and trading will be prepared to bag it up for you or already have it bagged. A\Bring your styro to haul it home in.

However, it is always a good idea to bring some of your own bags, rubber bands, tupperware-type cantainers and a bottle of SW. Even if you don't need them someone else might.

Great fun - enjoy yourself and I'm sure you'll come home with loads of cool stuff.
