HI everyone
i need some help with the ID of a possible new species of Acropora
i am a coral collector in Australia and i found this acro on our last reef trip
here's a picture
please excuse the pic my camera is being repaired (thanks to my 5year old daughter), this is a pic from my Iphone, i will have more pics next week when my camera is repaired
i found it about a year ago but left it on the reef for safe keeping untill our system was ready to hold it.
the only species i can find that is similar is ACROPORA MUILTACUTA
the coralites are tubular and unlike muiltacuta they maintain the base thickness to the tip.
i have a few specialist in Australia on to the ID but i though that you guys here in the US would know or might have seen it :fun4:
