im really worried now, the clowns are still breathing hard like this morrning, but both seem completly uninterested in food. are they still recovering from the sress of the treatment?? if so how long should i wait before retreating again ( if they still wont accept foods. thanx

im sorry to say the died this morrning of brrok. i am npw sure of it, because they were covered in a thinck white slime. i now am setting up a new quartine tank, and will ALWAYS treat with copper and maracyn before adding to the tank.

when i started this hobbie, i never dreamed of all these issues. i thought you put fish in a tank feed em and watch em grow...

go29... anything else besides the slime? did they show any weird signs b4 the slime? asking cause im trying to diagnose my clowns. somthings wrong with them

yes, accually they started like normal swimming and eating, then the next day the male wouldnt eat, and had these weir dwhite spots ( like 3 of them) on his side close to his head ( thought nothing of them). the next day male has VERY labored breathing and now female doesnt except food. male then started to get mucus covering, and faster breathing. then male dies, tewo days later exact same thing female dies. also before each died, there tails rotted ( fin rot??). i would follow the quartine prcedure on rare clownfish forums in the disease forum. sounds like a a great one. i know when i get my new clowns thats what im gonna do. also a side note, i believe if i wouldve seperated the female from the male, shed still be alive. i believe the male had brook ( and a few other things) and passed them onto the female

I have found that once the labored breathing starts that adding a couple of air stones goes a long way. In a QT tank anyway. I dont know how much it would help in the larger size of a display tank.

Im going to dip mine agian today. female has a few white things on her top fin and 1 dot by her face. breathing and eating normally though
