Almost an impulse buy

Petsmart has the $1 a gallon sale on - I ALMOST went for a 20 Long to consolidate my two pico tanks. Scary that I've only had them running a few months and I am already tottering on making the upgrade...

I resisted only because I knew it would mean a new pump, heater, and light.

They do have interesting lights there that would have fit and I think have been pretty solid - Fluval Sea LED Marine and Reef Pro. They have an iPhone app control as well.

I'll stew for a bit and regret passing it up but it's probably best. Ended up with a 2.5 gallon for my son to house a millipede in. Can't say I haven't eyed it a few times for reef related possibilities.

If you are going to upgrade, you know they make tanks with three (or larger) digits for the number of gallons. :spin2:

Haha John, yes I am aware though I plan to send my kids to college or at least help them on their way. I think I will stick to sub 100 gallon for a while.

Though, sump gallonage doesn't count right? So a nice 20 gallon long coral reef with a 75 gallon sump wouldn't cost too much, right? I could just run the sump with CPF for macro growth (and maybe a little LED reef spectrum for some frags...
