alright who is the man?

When it rains it pours is about the gist of it.
The "Fungus" is still withering away in the 10 gallon tank. I haven't added it to the main tank. It is taking longer than I thought it would so I am not sure if this will be 100% effective. The stuff has taken a hit but it isn't dead yet by any means. What looked very promising is now looking iffy from where I stand.
I had my heater in my QT tank go out the other night and the tank dropped a few degrees overnight. I took care of the heater and when I got home last night my two new wrasses have a serious case of ich now. I guess they aren't as healthy as I thought they were. I added copper to the tank and I am hoping they will recover. I am actually hoping that they will be alive when I get home. I have a bad track record with copper. I feel I had no choice as the fish were covered in ich and were breathing heavily. I am crossing my fingers and praying for the best.
on to the main tank.
The pH still tends to dip if I am not dripping the limewater and the dripping is driving my alk and calcium higher than I would like.
Also still having trouble keeping alk & cal balanced. I am trying to use this calculator and when I add the 2part in the amounts it tells me it increases at a much higher rate than it is supposed to.
Randy Holmes-Farley seemed to think that maybe I was performing my tests incorrectly but there is no way. I tested them against Bills and got identical results. Only thing I can think of is that I got a bad batch of 2 part or something like that. Maybe Bill and I can figure out what is going on this weekend
The tank looks no better and it looks no worse. With the salinity down and the pH more stable the corals have made no improvement. Color is no better. Polyp extension is no better. Frogspawns still aren't open and the acans aren't any puffier (if anything the acans look worse).

Well that's not what I wanted to hear!! Keep at It though for everything takes time in this hobby, corals do things in weeks and months not days. Picked up the UV sterilizer today and I'll bring It with me on Sunday, How's about around noon sound? All I need Is some directions to your house, If you want PM them to me OK. Also the UV I'm bringing is for sale cheap If It works also has a new bulb In IT. I'll wait to hear from you, Later.

12 is fine. Fish are still alive I sure hope they pull through the solar is the nicest one I have ever laid eyes on. . I got some garlic. I will probably call you tonight bill if that is cool.

Did you get the UV on and what does the water look like If you did? Have you restarted dosing? Give us an update when you can.

Started dosing last night. I am starting at half the recommended dosage and will work my way up and see what happens.
I have to figure out how I am going to hook up the uv. I will probably take a look at that tonight.
My wrasses are doing much much better as a result of the copper and garlic. I don't think they would be with me if I hadn't dosed the copper when I did. They are eating again and I am continuing to keep a eye on them and keeping their lights off.

Well lets hear some results, Have you hooked up the UV and what's going on with the problem?

No results as of yet. I can't find the barb that I need to hook up the UV and the ULNS takes weeks to start seeing results. The "algae" is getting much worse and I am getting more discouraged. I am going to give the ULNS a couple more weeks to see what happens then I am going to do the algaefix. If that doesn't work the tank is coming down.
