Came home to find that the 12" of rain - ya, 12 legitimate measured inches - crapped out the sump pump. Of course, it was after 9, big box stores closed. Water was seeping up through a few cracks in the basement floor, I didn't want to wait till the morning. So I grabbed an extension cord and one of my extra submersible tank pumps. Dropped the pump in the sump, and ran the extension cord to an open outlet on the apex. Have it cycling on/off every few minutes. So far, so good.:thumbsup:
